Men's Golf Tied For Fourth After Round One of USA South Championship.

ROCKY MOUNT, NC – The Greensboro College men's golf team completed the first round of play at the 2015 USA South Championship hosted by the par 72 Benvenue Country Club on Friday afternoon. The Pride (306; +18) currently sit in a fourth place tie with Huntingdon College nineteen stroke behind team leader LaGrange College.

Greensboro College junior John Grimes finished the first eighteen holes a two under par to place him in a second place tie individually. After completing the front nine of play at even par, Grimes recorded three birdies in the final nine holes with his only negative blemish coming on the par 4 12th.

Kevin Borowicz also sits in the top 20 after a five over par (77) first round.

Corey Stamper (t-25th), Bryan Morris (36), and Jared Dillard (t-38th) are also competing in the 54 hole event.

The Pride will get the second round underway on Saturday morning.
