Men's Tennis Rolls, Women Fall Against Maryville

The Pride men's tennis team recorded a 9-0 sweep of Maryville on Friday, while the women suffered an 8-1 setback to the Scots.

The men picked up their second win of the season and kicked off the USA South slate with a big victory at home.  The Pride swept doubles play - with Zachary Passman and Kyle Gatti winning 8-3 at number one, Matt Moscatello and Greiser taking a 9-8 (3) win at two, and Matthew Miller and Ian Weiner rolling to an 8-0 win in the third spot.

Greensboro continued the momentum in singles action - with Miller, Passman, Gatti, Matthew Troy, Moscatello and Weiner all picking up two set victories.

On the women's side, Meredith Kelly came away with the lone win, beating Rachel Hutson in the number one position 6-0, 6-1, as Greensboro fell to 1-1 in the USA South.

Both teams will hit the road on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match at Ferrum.
